This is one of the best weekends of the West Valley summer: 275 classics rolling into Saratoga Village for the 15th Annual Car Show, Lauren Daigle and Trevor Noah on the Mountain Winery hillside, Bassnectar’s first Bay Area show in over a decade, and a free season of lawn concerts hitting its stride. Every event verified — days, times, zero homework.

The Headliner: Saratoga Car Show Week

Sunday is the big one: the 15th Annual Saratoga Classic & Cool Car Show takes over Big Basin Way and the Historic Village, 10 AM–4 PM, free, with roughly 275 classic and exotic cars and crowds in the thousands. Two warm-ups if you cannot wait: the Revvin’ Up Rally at JAKES of Saratoga Thursday at 5 PM (free), and Saturday’s Cool Car Cruise, which departs the Village Chevron at 11:30 AM (arrive by 10:30 to see the lineup). The Village restaurants around the show are the move — book ahead.

On the Mountain Winery Hillside

Saratoga’s amphitheater delivers a loaded run: Gladys Knight Wednesday (7:30 PM), the Happy Together Tour Thursday (7:30 PM), Lauren Daigle Friday (7:30 PM), and Trevor Noah closing Sunday night at 8. Saturday the hill goes dark — which works out, because that is Bassnectar night in San Jose. Dinner in the Village, then the five-minute drive up Pierce Road: still the best concert formula in the South Bay.

Free on the Lawns: Los Gatos & Campbell

Sunday 5–7 PM, Music in the Park continues on the Los Gatos Civic Center Lawn with Estero and their psychedelic California soul — free, blankets and picnics welcome. Sunday morning, the farmers’ markets run in both downtown Campbell and at Los Gatos Town Plaza. And Campbell’s Thursday-night Summer Concert Series on the Orchard City Green rolls on at 6:30 PM — this week it’s country night with the San Benito County Line Band. Grown-ups take note: Friday evening is Campbell’s “Night at the Museum” — the adults-only evening at the Historical Museum ($25, wine and behind-the-scenes artifacts).

Worth the Short Drive: Bassnectar & a Downtown Party Weekend

Downtown San Jose turns into a festival ground all weekend. Friday: Freestyle Explosion brings Stevie B, The Cover Girls, and a lowrider car show to Plaza de Cesar Chavez. Saturday at 6 PM: Bassnectar returns to the Bay for the first time in more than a decade, with Dead Prez — a genuine event for the electronic crowd. Sunday: WAR headlines with Malo, plus lucha libre and the lowriders back out. Fifteen minutes from all three towns.

One Perfect Sunday

Campbell farmers’ market at 9. Saratoga Village by 10:30 for the car show while the light is good and the crowds are thin. Late lunch on Big Basin Way. Blanket down on the Los Gatos lawn at 5 for Estero — then, if you have tickets, up the hill for Trevor Noah at 8. Four towns’ worth of summer in one day, three of them within ten minutes of your driveway.
