Your Silicon Valley Weekend: April 3–5 — Easter Weekend Edition
Your guide to the best Silicon Valley events this Easter weekend, April 3-5, 2026. From Sharks hockey to egg hunts, farmers markets, and spring open houses — curated by Brad Bell, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury.
Easter weekend lands in Silicon Valley with perfect spring timing. The cherry blossoms are peaking, farmers markets are overflowing with early-season stone fruit and wildflower bouquets, and the Sharks are wrapping up the regular season with a Saturday night home game. Whether you're planning family activities, date night, or simply want to explore the Valley's best neighborhoods while the weather cooperates, here's your curated guide to making the most of it.
Friday Night, April 3
Beetlejuice — The Musical
Broadway's wildly inventive take on the Tim Burton classic comes to San Jose's premier performing arts venue. The show has drawn rave reviews for its stagecraft and dark humor — a great pick for couples or a group night out before the holiday weekend gets family-focused.
Maz Jobrani — Live Comedy
The Iranian-American comedian and actor brings his trademark cultural commentary to the Improv. His sets consistently sell out in the Bay Area, so grab tickets early if you haven't already.
Colorado Eagles at San Jose Barracuda
AHL hockey at its best — fast, physical, and affordable. The Barracuda are the Sharks' minor league affiliate, and Tech CU Arena makes for an intimate game-night experience.
Saturday, April 4 — Spring in Full Swing
Saturday farmers markets across the Valley are at their spring peak — perfect weather for browsing.
Sharks vs. Nashville Predators — Girl Scout Night
The San Jose Sharks host Nashville in one of the season's final home games. Girl Scout Night brings special pre-game activities for families. SAP Center's "Sharkification" renovation plans were just announced, making this one of the last chances to experience the arena in its current form.
Sunnyvale Farmers Market
One of the South Bay's best weekly markets. Local produce, live music, artisan vendors, and a walkable downtown that's worth exploring on its own. Pair it with brunch at one of Murphy Street's restaurants.
Mountain View Farmers Market
Mountain View's year-round market draws a loyal crowd. Great spot to pick up fresh flowers and seasonal produce for your Easter table.
Spring Trails Worth Your Saturday Morning
If you'd rather hike than shop, this is peak wildflower season in the Bay Area. A few favorites within easy reach of Silicon Valley:
- Rancho San Antonio (Cupertino) — flat, shaded, family-friendly. The deer practically pose for photos.
- Stevens Creek Trail (Sunnyvale to Mountain View) — paved, bike-friendly, great for a morning ride with kids.
- Castle Rock State Park (Saratoga) — more challenging elevation, stunning wildflower views, worth the drive.
Easter Sunday, April 5
Easter Brunch at The Hayes Mansion
The historic Hayes Mansion hosts one of the South Bay's most popular Easter brunches. The 1905 estate provides a backdrop that feels like old California wealth — fitting for a celebration. Reservations recommended; this event fills up.
Community Easter Egg Hunts
San Jose's Berryessa neighborhood and Willow Glen both host annual egg hunts with dedicated age groups, activities, and enough sugar to fuel the rest of the holiday. Check local community center listings for exact times and registration.
Cupertino Farmers Market
Sunday's Cupertino market is a neighborhood institution. Pick up last-minute ingredients for Easter dinner or just enjoy the morning — the early April weather in Cupertino is hard to beat.
Real Estate Radar: Why Easter Weekend Matters
Spring is when Silicon Valley's real estate market hits full stride. Inventory climbs through April and May, but buyer demand tends to climb faster — which is why we're still seeing 5+ offers on well-priced homes. If you're thinking about buying, the next four to six weeks are when the best properties come to market. If you're thinking about selling, this is your window to capture peak buyer urgency before summer travel season creates a natural pause.
Spring listings with strong curb appeal are moving in under two weeks across most Silicon Valley neighborhoods.
Easter weekend is also one of the biggest open house weekends of the year. Families are off work and school, the weather draws people outside, and there's a natural energy to exploring neighborhoods when everything is in bloom. If you've been casually browsing, this is a good weekend to get intentional about it.
What I'm Watching This Weekend
Three neighborhoods where I'm seeing the most interesting activity right now:
- Sunnyvale Heritage District — Two new listings under $2M near Murphy Street. Walkability scores are driving premiums here.
- Campbell's Downtown Corridor — Investor-friendly pricing with strong rental demand. ADU potential on many lots.
- Cupertino's Monta Vista — Top school assignments continue to command 8-12% premiums over comparable homes one zip code over.
If any of these neighborhoods are on your radar, reach out before the open houses this weekend — I can get you in ahead of the crowd.
